Dr. Vanderwall is an amazing instructor & person. He is truly one of God's angels. This class will really change (for the best), or enhance your understanding of God's Will, & your true purpose for existing. God has given him a gift and I am thankful that it was shared with me!! I'm taking another course he's teaching next semester. If you are interested & attend class, you will succeed in his course.
Prof. Vanderwall is a tremendous professor that teaches with great ease and makes the class interesting. You will not be bored. You will enjoy his class besides learning so much in it. You will see Jesus in a new light. Once you take a class with him, you will want to take others. His class is neither Easy/Hard; it is a class from which you will benefit.
I have been in college for 8 years. I have had many professors. He is the best in the U.S. There is not one man less judgmental and so extremely compassionate.
An excellent teacher. You'll walk away from his class wanting to be a better person. My advice is to open your mind and express yourself in your writing and you'll do well.
I've had a ton of different professors, & attended 4 different colleges. Dr. Vanderwall was, by far, my favorite professor. After taking 4yrs off, he got me excited about learning again & taught me so many things about religion, spirituality, & life in general. Such a great man. Such a shame for all the future students who won't get to benefit from him like I did. Thank you Dr. Vanderwall, for all your service.

Outstanding. Francis is an expert, a real authority, on Eastern culture in the time of Jesus. I learned a lot about God and God’s love. Francis talks with such feeling. He knows so much about the spiritual exercises. Very sincere and moving.
Very informative – gave me insight to the Life of Jesus that I was never told or explained. Passion! This is the one word to describe Francis. His passion was amplified throughout the chapel.
Deeply moving. Touched upon the life of Christ in such a way that captivated every part of my soul. A true Gift.
The content of Francis’ talk was one of the best in the 30 years I have been coming to retreats. His presentation was so down to earth. At first I was taken aback because I’m not used to this, but I found I was able to retain 95% of his talk.
The content of his talks were at my level of understanding, which was simple and easy to understand. His presentation skills were excellent. He explained things in a simple, professional manner.

The lectures were superb. Mr. Vanderwall TAUGHT us. His skill was top notch. The talks along with the beauty of the grounds and the peace & quiet are important to me.
The content was clearly presented that I could feel I can go home with a clear picture of what Jesus has done for me. Francis knew and believed what he presented!
